Real-Time Social Platform

An event-driven client-server social platform built with Java and native WebSockets by an eight-person team.

Context

I led the project across four software-development iterations, translating requirements into architecture, issue scopes, integration plans, and validated merges. The system centered on persistent real-time communication between browser clients and a Java server.

Engineering contributions

  • Architect the event-driven client-server communication flow
  • Lead eight developers through four delivery iterations
  • Coordinate task delegation, GitHub issue tracking, code integration, and merge validation
  • Create UI mockups, system-context diagrams, and structured requirements
  • Direct deployment testing and resolve cross-component integration failures before deadlines
